Description:
This Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) multitemporal colour
composite image is centred over the city of Vienna, Austria
(large bright area). Vienna is situated on the Danube river (black line
that traverses the image from the top left corner and continues on a
southeastern course past the city on to Bratislava on the Slovakian
border. The grey patches indicate forests consisting mainly of fir,
pine, and oak trees. The various colour patches throughout the
image are cultivated agricultural fields.
The image is made of three ERS-2 SAR PRI (Precision Radar Image) images
acquired on different dates and assigning a colour (RGB) to each date
of acquisition.
